Koala Bamboo is a bamboo babywear factory that works as a second source for US brands that already have a supplier: your prints on our 95/5 bamboo viscose knit, from 24 pieces per print per style, 4–6 weeks to finished goods, delivered DDP to your door, zip rompers QIMA-tested, with your own labels.
Most brands that come to us already have a factory they like. What they don’t have is slack: the reorder that sells out and can’t be refilled in time, the new print they’d rather prove at 24 pieces before committing to a full run, the season their main supplier doesn’t want to bother with. A second source is how you stop one factory’s calendar from being your calendar.

Refilling a print that sold out
- Minimum: 24 pieces per print per style, split equally across the sizes you choose. No plate or setup fee.
- Timing: 4–6 weeks from full payment, then DDP to your door, with nothing to pay on arrival.
- What we need: the seamless print file, the style, and the size split. We produce on our own patterns and size chart, so order a sample first if fit against your current piece matters.
Testing a new print at a small run
- Size of the test: 24 pieces per print per style at catalogue price: long-sleeve zip romper $8.99, short-sleeve $8.55, long-sleeve two-piece $9.55, short-sleeve two-piece $8.99, ex-factory. Same price for your own print and our ready-to-ship prints.
- Before you commit: digital mock-ups on each garment for approval. A sample in your print is $50, credited in full on the order, if you want to hold it first.
- Then: 4–6 weeks to finished goods, delivered DDP. If the print sells, the reorder runs on the same numbers.
A second factory behind a season
- Start with the line list: styles, prints and pieces per print. We tell you plainly which we make and which we don’t, and quote the rest on your actual quantities rather than a table.
- Fabric and labels: 95% bamboo viscose / 5% spandex, 230 GSM printed, 210 GSM solids; your woven label, hangtag and care label on every piece after a one-time setup.
- Calendar: 4–6 weeks per run, first order and reorders alike, delivered DDP. Tell us your drop dates and we plan production around them.

Testing, fabric and labelsThe three things brands check before anything else
- Testing: our zip rompers are QIMA-tested to the US children’s sleepwear rules. For your own Children’s Product Certificate you book a CPSC-accepted lab such as QIMA or SGS, and we ship them the pieces they ask for. Every garment ships with the yellow snug-fit flammability hangtag at no charge.
- Fabric: 95% bamboo viscose / 5% spandex, 40s yarn, 230 or 210 GSM printed, 210 or 180 GSM solids. Two-way YKK zipper. Digital print from your own seamless files.
- Labels: a woven label, hangtag or printed logo is a one-time $80 setup each, then free on every reorder with no per-piece charge. Heat-transfer neck label plus hangtag together, $160 one-time. Sewn-in care/content label with fibre, care, origin and CPSIA information, $80 one-time. Garments are bagged individually in white poly, one side clear, one side frosted.

We make: long- and short-sleeve zip rompers, long- and short-sleeve two-piece sets, twirl dresses (short and long sleeve), a girls’ long-sleeve bodysuit, a plain bamboo lovey, a 50×50 in double-layer blanket, and adult joggers for family matching.
Outside that range: we focus on knit sleepwear and sets. If part of your line sits outside it, tell us what it is; we’ll say plainly whether we make it and cover the rest properly rather than sub-contract what we don’t do.
- Custom prints: 24 pieces per print per style, equal quantity per size. No plate or setup fee. That’s the number for a print test; it’s also the number for a top-up reorder of a print that’s already selling.
- Blankets: 5 per print. Ready-to-ship prints: from one piece per size.
Catalogue prices per piece, ex-factory, at 24–99 pieces per print per style: long-sleeve zip romper $8.99, short-sleeve $8.55, long-sleeve two-piece $9.55, short-sleeve two-piece $8.99. Treat those as the test-order price. At your volumes the number is different, and we’d rather quote it on your actual pieces per print than print a table that doesn’t match your season. Tell us the quantity and we’ll come back within 12 hours on working days.
Lead times, payment and delivery4–6 weeks, DDP to your door
- Production: 4–6 weeks from full payment, first order and reorders alike. We’d rather give you a schedule we keep than a faster one we don’t.
- Delivery: DDP to your door. Customs clearance and import duties are taken care of on our side, with one delivered price quoted once quantity is set; FedEx or UPS for the last mile. No broker, nothing due on arrival.
- Payment: through PayPal before production starts, with buyer protection on every order.
- Replies: within 12 hours on working days.
How a first run with us usually goesOne print alongside your main supplier
- Send one print and a quantity. Most brands start us on one print they’re confident in, at 24–99 pieces, alongside their main supplier.
- Approve the mock-ups. Your print on each garment, on our patterns and size chart. You compare the sample to what you sell today.
- Run it, sell it, compare. Delivered price, fit, hand-feel and how the reorder went. If we earn the second print, we earn it on that.
Two things we’ll always do: we tell you what we can’t do before you find out the hard way, and we don’t talk about the brands we produce for. Your supplier list is your business; so is ours.
